Marianna Kafaridou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Design and Multimedia of the University of Nicosia. She has served as an Acting Head of the Department for seven years and as an Associate Head. She has also served as a part time faculty member at the Cyprus University of Technology.

She presented her research in international academic conferences. Her research interests include design education and learning theories, sustainable and corporate design.

She is a practicing graphic artist and her artwork has been accepted in International Art Festivals locally and abroad. She holds a Masters Degree in Education, BA Degree in Visual Communications, and H.T.I Diploma in Civil Engineering.
