Oded Ezer is a Tel Aviv-based graphic artist, typographic experimentalist, and type designer. Ezer founded a design firm called Oded Ezer Typography in 2000, specialising in typographic and font design projects for clients such as Google, Samsung, FontShop Intl., Little Brown and Co., Font Bureau, Brody Associates, Sterling Brands, Krakow’s Jewish Festival, Jerusalem Season of Culture, Dalton Maag, and many others. In 2004 Oded founded Hebrew Typography type foundry, selling his own typefaces to leading media companies and design studios.
Ezer’s works are showcased and published worldwide, and are part of collections of eminent museums such as MoMA New York, Israel Museum Jerusalem, London’s V&A, Museum für Gestaltung Zürich, and more.
A senior lecturer at the Holon Institute of Technology (H.I.T, Visual Communication Dep.), Ezer is also a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI). His first monograph Oded Ezer: The Typographer’s Guide to the Galaxy was published by Gestalten in 2009.
